Sounds awful to have to go through that with the club you love.
I have now done 4/5 practical days on the course for the week, and without doubt, its the hardest 4 days physically I have ever done. 6 hours of almost non stop football each day, in extreme temperatures, awful heat for the last three days yet a deluge Tuesday.
All the time you are trying to concentrate on coaching, it's hard though when you can barely stand. There's an ex semi pro in his twenties and a current non league manager on the course though, and they are finding the physicality hard going too, so I'm not ready for the scrap heap yet!
Hard, yes. It was. But also brilliant fun too. Great to expand what you can...am eyeing up the UEFA B award and then global domination, on the horizon!
Also had my first two orders tonight for photographs that I took...very small scale, but my photo business took its first tentative steps tonight!!!
plus this is the football thread and as yet no mention of the worlds greatest competition!! i know we live in hope but you never know......COME ON ENGLAND!!
spain's bench this afternoon is mental... torres, fabregas, pedro, navas, mata, arbeloa, reina, valdes, albiol - if they don't win the cup i'll be suprised.
dan, took my flags down, we dont deserve that!!...i would not boo any team but who the hell is that arrogant twat rooney to slag the fans!! he has been crap for the last 4/5 games but will not be dropped, he was very poor and didnt look interested so what does capello do, takes off lennon for phillips!! wtf ,then gives crouch 10 bloody minutes
the players looked frightened to do anything, summed up by heskey and gerrard trying to pass when in shooting positions, lennon not good but not helped by the fact johson trying to keep using his space, so many problems have reared up it is crazy! lampard/gerrard cannot play together, capello needs to grow some balls and make some proper decisions!!
Did you notice how, when they lined up before the match even started, they looked all out of sorts. During then national anthem, their body language was all over the place and I predicted then a poor match. Never expected it could be so bad though- that really is the worst display by the national team I think I can ever remember.
No energy, no idea, no individual shining, no team spirit. WTF went on before the game, to set them up in such a bad way?
exactly dan, as you say barry our best player!, cole was ok, something is defo not right in the camp, tbh these players played well in the qualifiers so what has happened, is it capellos iron rule is to stifling when they are together for that length of time, frightened of taking responsibility in case they get dropped? telling the team 2 hrs before kick to me is not good either, sorry to say but my opinion of capello has gone down, is he any better than sven or mclaren
Bazza, K*well was there the day we had 2 fans stabbed to death on April 5th 2000 by so-called 'fans' of that turkish club that begins with a G.
He left us to join Liverpool purely for £££ and now has the audacity to ply his trade in turkey for THAT club. Has the man no shame? Has he no idea what we fans feel? Does he think we'll forgive and forget? The bloke is a total twat and I. for one, detest him. I'm glad his World Cup is (hopefully) over.
gotcha, and a good shout from you as well, should have remembered that, they got away with it then and are still getting away with it now, if it was english club we would be banned!
Don't even get me started on UEFA and FIFA. One rule for one! They just look for an excuse to penalise English clubs and as soon as they get one they throw the book at us. How was what Liverpool fans did at Heysel any different to the Turkish fans treatment and Murder of English fans and all English clubs get banned from European comps for 6 years. I dont recall any of the Turkish clubs getting banned for their fans disgraceful behaviour.
And this from a Manc fan - if Wayne Rooney thinks he can complain about the treatment of the team after their performance and after the fans have travelled miles and spent their hard earned money he can fuck right off the cocky little twat. Who does he think he is. If i performed even half as poorly in my £20k a year job I would be in the dole queue come Monday morning They get paid 4 and 5 times that a week and think they have a right to complain - they can get to fuck. I have been a follower of football for a long long time and I love it, but I may be just about ready to turn my back. Fucking cunts!!
What a pathetic display from those so-called Premier League 'stars'.
Every single one of them, apart from David James, should hang their head in shame.
The back 4 were a shambles. That's the end of Johnson and Upson, and Terry is nearing the end of his use. And wasn't Cashley meant to be the best left back in the world?
The midfield were dire. Fat Frank was robbed but Barry was non-existent (what was he doing for the 4th goal?), Gerrard is to far up his own arse and Milner was like a rabbit in the headlights.
As for the front 2......Defoe tried but Rooney was a waste of space. I was willing him to deck someone and get put out of his misery.
And who did we have on the bench? Emile fucking Heskey and Shaun fucking Wright-Phillips! Christ, the Krauts must have been quaking in their jackboots when they came on!
Is it my age or is the World Cup not what it used to be? Back in the 'old' days we had 3/4 live games a year and the World Cup was something to look forward to. Now it's just a distraction for those overpaid primadonnas.
Go, Fabio, and let Hodgson take over.
At least the Tour de France starts next week so there'll be something decent on TV.
Get rid of all the players and start from scratch, bringing in some hungry up-and-comers who earn less and might want to actually make an effort for a pay rise and/or greater recognition. If any of the current mob wants to keep their place, they should have to earn it.
I don't follow domestic footie, so I base my opinions on the international games, and I literally don't recall ever seeing Rooney do anything of any value. Total fucking fat useless cunt. Most overrated player on the park.
"Total fucking fat useless cunt. Most overrated player on the park."
Considering you don't follow the domestic game, you certainly know all the technical terms and have called it right.
He was indeed dire. Ok, so he carried Man Utd all season long and may have been tired. But still, he should have been able to turn in at least half an effort in each game. There's absolutely no excuses for not trying and lack of effort- and for him to then turn round and have a pop at the fans was totally out of order. The English Maradona? Primadonna, perhaps.
Only time will tell what lame excuses they come up with for being unprepared. Ferdinand must be delighted Heskey crocked him, now!
If Germany don't beat Spain tomorrow then I'll be quite surprised. They've played amazingly so far where as Spain have been so disappointing.
Anyway, Palace are finally signing players again. Only freebies, but they sound like good signings so I'm happy with that. George Burley's a good manager as well, I'm sure we'll do alright next season.
only thing with burley is he only ever seems to take teams to a certain point and then no more, but maybe that will suit palace at this time to steady the ship, overall been a bit dissapointed in the world cup, obviously england were terrible but there havnt been many stand out moments or games as a whole.
As you said, I think we need that after being administration twice in 10 years after overspending by both Mark Goldberg and Simon Jordan. If we can start making money then we'll push on for a place in the Prem, so I think that's the best way of going about it.
I know what you're saying about the World Cup, yesterdays game had the potential to be a classic but it was just as boring as any other game I've watched. The only decent game looked like the Slovakia v Italy one, but I missed that due to being at Glasto. Grrr!
Great night for Spurs last night. Did you go Paul?
Newcastle have had a bit of a strange start to the season. Didnt play great against Man Utd, although Scholes was on top form, then absolutely hammered Villa. I couldnt beleive the scoreline! To be fair though, Villa were poor on the day and will give us a much tougher game when we go to their place later in the year. Also good win for the youngsters last night agains Accrington. Onwards and upwards!
Also, Davids to palace!! In the words of Kris Kamara "It's unbelieveable Jeff!!"
wilko, was defo there last night, good game although didnt think we played great but well enough!! a bit edgey at times, but it was great to hear the champions league music being played!!!
any normal spurs fan will know we are not gonna win it but we should be looking to finish second in our group and go from there, it will be nice to compete with the big boys, the one thing man u cfc, afc have is the experience of been there and done it over a period of time, but it is great to have the chance to try and achieve what they have done and the fans will give them great backing.
as for the toon, not many teams go to man u and get something so no real suprise the villa result was though! even if they had an off day it was still something to get 6!! i think if u finish 4th bottom that will be a great season cos hopefully season after u may have money to spend and build on that, start of the season has certainly seen some goals flying in, long may it continue!
